PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed sheet for forming a tray for vegetables and fruits with well balanced flexibility and strength; and a tray for vegetables and fruits. SOLUTION: The foamed sheet is made of a resin mixture comprising (a) 40-90% polystyrene resin, (b) 5-40% rubber-modified polystyrene resin and (c) 5-20% styrene-butadiene block copolymer resin and has a tensile strength in the extrusion direction of 2.5 kg/10 mm or higher. The resin mixture has a Z average mol.wt. of 250,000-400,000 and contains a pigment. The number of cells in the thickness direction of the foamed sheet is 10-24. The tray for vegetables and fruits is obtained by forming the foamed sheet and has a flexibility of 28% or higher and a tensile strength in the longitudinal direction of 5 kg or higher.
