PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for repelling plant louses attaching to vegetables/garden trees by using chaff (obtained by collecting peeled off thin skin from the surface of coffee beans in a process of roasting the coffee and adding water for pressing it to a hard lump). SOLUTION: It is possible to repel plant louses by a plant power by only using the chaff as compost, thus it is possible to reduce the use of agrochemical. Also, by putting the chaff at the root of a plant (tree and flower), it shows the same effect and can be used as well as an additional fertilizer. Separately, by immersing the chaff in water and spraying the obtained liquid, it is possible to repel the plant louses temporarily. Since the chaff is pressed to the hard lump, it swells up by 2-folds with water in soil to form gaps in the soil for improving ventilation/water permeability, which is good for developing roots. The chaff also has an effect of repelling plant parasitic nematode. By utilizing the activity of the roots and leaves of the plant, the plant louses are repelled by the components of the chaff.
