PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for molding an interior material capable of producing the interior material excellent in outward appearance without causing molding defects, in molding the interior material by using a stamping molding method. SOLUTION: A wood graining projecting part 14c is provided in a front surface side mold 11, while a recessing part 13c corresponding to the projecting part 14c is provided in a bottom side mold 10. Both the mold surfaces 10, 11 are opened and skin materials 5, 6 are positioned, while superposing the terminal ends of the upper side skin material 5 and the lower side skin material 6 with a positioning member 12 which is formed into a frame shape surrounding the molding faces 13, 14. While lowering the top surface side mold 11, a molten resin is supplied from each gate 15 of the bottom surface side mold 10. When both the skin materials 5, 6 are brought closer to the molding face 13 to clamp the molds, the projecting part 14c of the top surface side mold 11 is inserted into the recessing part 13c, while the superposing portion of both the skin materials 5, 6 are bent and faced with each other.
