PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating human waste, by which a substance able to be used in manufacturing additives for accelerating ripening of compost, feed additives, and feed for poultry farming, pisciculture and hog raising, can be obtained. SOLUTION: The method of treating human waste comprises separating the human waste into a human waste solid content and water, and fermenting the human waste solid content by a high-temperature and high-speed fermentation. According to this method, the need for an incineration facility which is heretofore needed is eliminated. Dioxin problems can be dealt with simply by adding a fermentation facility to the conventional facility even without newly installing a costly high-temperature treatment apparatus and therefore the dioxin problems can be dealt with at a low cost. Miscellaneous germs are made extinct and only the zymogen's are proliferated by the high-temperature fermentation, as a result, the formed treated materials of the human waste are nonpoisonous.
