PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a guard body to be closed to an intermediate opening position for its easy operation in the installation of a shutter type guard device constituted by using a freely opening/closing guard body to a window of a driving room of a construction machine. SOLUTION: In one of a pair of left and right guide rails 9 guiding the movement of the guard body 10, a closing auxiliary device CS is constituted by using a cable winding device 16 winding a first cable 17, a travel unit 19 connected between the first cable 17 and a second cable 20, an auxiliary guide rail 18 for movably guiding the travel unit 19 and the first and second cables 17 and 20, and a pull handle 22 connected to the second cable 20. The pull handle 22 is arranged in the intermediate part in the vertical direction of the guide rail 9, and the guard body 10 is forcibly closed to the intermediate opening position in which the guard body 10 can be operated by the downward pulling operation of the pull handle 22.
