PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reasonably demolish and dismantle a reactor pressure vessel from a reactor building. SOLUTION: In dismantling the reactor pressure vessel from the reactor building 1, shielding material such as mortar is filled into the reactor pressure vessel and is cured, then the reactor pressure vessel and the shielding material are cut and divided to a plurality of divided bodies 3a, 3b and 3c, and each divided body is sequentially carried out of the reactor building. A shielding body 8 is mounted to the outside of the reactor pressure vessel, then they are cut along the cross section in sectionally split state, and a shielding body 11 is also mounted to the cut surface.
