PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of easily discriminating a color wherein to what extent a feature reproduced by a proof image can accurately be reproduced. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus generates attached image data representing an attached image to describe reproduction performance of a feature of a print image in an output device outputting the proof image and outputs proof image data representing the proof image and attached image data to the output device. Confirming the attached image outputted from the output device can identify a reproduction method of the feature of the proof image. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
