PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a double sided adhesive tape, with which a substrate layer itself has sufficient bond strength and flexibility even without being mixed with a tackifier resin, the double sided adhesive tape suffers from little change of physical properties due to temperature change, excellent heat resistance and cold resistance and the thickness of the substrate layer is arbitrarily increased. SOLUTION: The method for producing the double sided adhesive tape comprises, in producing the double sided adhesive tape in which a composition consisting essentially of a rubber-like organic polymer in a liquid state at a normal temperature is crosslinked and cured to give a substrate layer and the substrate layer is laminated to an adhesive layer, (1) firstly laminating two or more layers of substrates mutually to form the substrate layer and then (2) laminating adhesive layers to both sides of the substrate layer. The substrate is constituted of the composition consisting essentially of (A) a polyurethane containing at least one alkenyl group in the molecule, (B) an organic compound containing at least two hydrosilyl groups in the molecule and (C) a hydrosilylation catalyst.
