PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator type parking device wherein vehicles can be smoothly parked or delivered without requiring an elevating floor device for securing a flat lane on the front side and the intermediate part of the parking device and which can reduce the cost. SOLUTION: This elevator type parking device is provided with a plurality of stages of vehicle housing shelves 4 in sides of a hoist way of an elevator cage 2 elevating upward or downward, and provided with elevator type parking device for delivering a pallet 6 loaded with a vehicle 5 between the vehicle housing shelves 4 and the elevator cage 2 in the vertical direction to directly drive the vehicles parked or delivered in/from the back side. A pallet 21 for lane to form a lane for parking or delivery is housed in one of the vehicle housing shelves 4 of the elevator type parking device on the front side, and the pallet 21 for lane is mounted on the elevator cage 2 to structure the lane for parking/delivery. By this structure, a flat lane can be secured by the pallet 21 for lane, and the construction of an elevating floor device nor a deep underground pit becomes unnecessary to reduce the cost.
