PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for a suspended scaffolding for positively supporting the peripheral edge of the suspended scaffolding in the outer peripheral part of a building skeleton. SOLUTION: This support 1 for the suspended scaffolding is formed approximately in a U-shape with both holding parts 5, 6 abutting on the inner and outer surfaces of a rising wall 4, and a lateral member 7 abutting on the upper face of the rising wall 4. The support 1 holds the rising wall 4 by both holding parts 5, 6 when the lateral member 7 extensible in the direction of the inner and outer surfaces is contracted. The outer holding part 6 is provided with a mounting part 8 for a lifting member for supporting the peripheral edge 2a of the suspended scaffolding 2, and the lateral member 7 is provided with a mounting part 10 for a support member for supporting a protection shelf 9. The support 1 of simple structure comprising both holding parts 5, 6 and the lateral member 7 is provided at the upper end of the rising wall 4. The peripheral edge 2a of the suspended scaffolding can thereby be positively supported by the lifting member mounting part 8, and the protection shelf 9 provided at the peripheral edge 2a of the suspended scaffolding can be supported by the support member mounting part 10 of the lateral member 7.
