PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image printer which can provide users' desired images by users' desired textures. SOLUTION: The image printer is constituted to accept a texture selection at the time of printing images from the user. Texture information is inputted via an operation display I/F 1017 to a PC 101 and passed to a quantity of heat control part 1020. The quantity of heat control part 1020 calculates a quantity of heat necessary for printing by the selected texture at the printer 12 as a sublimating type printer, and passes quantity of heat information to a printer I/F 1021. The printer I/F 1021 outputs to the printer 12, a texture signal for printing by the calculated quantity of heat, and a printing control signal which includes printing image data and printing layout data.
