PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier robot, and a carrying method, in which a large carrying weight and a large elevation stroke is realized in spite of a slim constitution, and that is advantageous with relation to installation performance and maintenance performance. SOLUTION: In this carrier robot, a frame 8 is installed through a first joint 3 at one end of an articulated robot comprising a first arm 1 and a second arm 2 connected by joints. An installation position of the first joint 3 to the frame 8 is set right under the frame 8.
