PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily form a coated layer having heat-resistance, oxidizing-resistance and corrosion-resistance on the surface of a casting. SOLUTION: A coating material 2 is applied on the surface of a mold 1 and also, the surface of a coating material 2 is made rugged. The coating material 2 is slurry which is obtained by mixing CoNiCrAlY alloy powder (1340°C melting point) having 10-53μm grain diameter as a main material, Cr<SB>3</SB>C<SB>2</SB>powder (1890°C melting point) having 63-25μm grain diameter as an auxiliary material, and poly-vinyl acetate and water as a binder. When molten metal is poured at 1550-1600°C casting temperature, the main material in the coating material 2 is melted and the auxiliary material is not melted but included into the main material, and joined with the base material (molten metal). Therefore, on the surface of the casting composed of the solidification of the molten metal, the coated layer, composed of the coating material which is molten and solidified, having the heat-resistance, the oxidizing-resistance and the corrosion-resistance is formed.
