The invention relates to a method for the production of aldehydes by catalysed hydroformylation of metals in the 8th 10th groups of the periodic table of elements of olefinically unsaturated compounds in the presence of cyclic carbonic acid esters and ligands which do not contain any sufonic acid or sulfonate groups.
