<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk recording and reproducing apparatus which enables the consistent and easy performance of processes from the recording of information on a disk to the printing of the information onto the printing surface of the disk, which can facilitate the arrangement of the created discs, and which has the property of saving a space for installation. <P>SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with a means for recording and reproducing a picture and voice data stream onto an optical disk 1, and a printing means for printing character and image information etc., onto the printing surface 1b of the optical disk 1.
