<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a highly anticracking and lustrous inkjet recording sheet with good coating properties. <P>SOLUTION: In a method (1), a layer coating with a borax solution having the concentration of not more than 1.4% is provided on an inside ink accepting layer on a support. Further, a coating liquid including a polymer crosslinking with a borax is coated on the layer so as to dry during its crosslinking with the polymer in order to form an outside ink accepting layer. In a method (2), the layer coating with the borax solution having the concentration of not more than 1.4% is provided on an outside ink accepting layer on a transferred base material. Furthermore, the coating liquid including the polymer crosslinking with the borax is coated on the layer so as to dry during its crosslinking with the polymer in order to form an inside ink accepting layer.
