REVERSAL DEVELOPMENT METHOD, IMAGE FORMING METHOD AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversal development method using an organic photoreceptor which ensures occurrence of fewer black spots and gives a broad range of gradation and high image density and to provide an image forming method using the reversal development method and an image forming apparatus.

SOLUTION: In the reversal development method in which an electrostatic latent image is formed on an organic photoreceptor and converted to a visible toner image in a development step, the organic photoreceptor has an intermediate layer containing a rutile type titanium dioxide pigment and a photosensitive layer on a conductive support and the electrostatic latent image on the organic photoreceptor is developed under conditions which satisfy the expressions 800 V≤¾VH¾≤1,500 V and 50 V≤¾VH¾-¾VDC¾≤300 V.
