<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for the production of a fuel cell separator having a dense structure with a high surface smoothness and a high accuracy of dimension, by which inexpensive mass production of the separator can be realized, and the density and porosity thereof can be easily equalized even if the separator has a complicated groove-shape. <P>SOLUTION: A porous molded product is produced by charging a porous material into a press die, and then compression-molding the material.
