PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data storing/utilizing device whereby a user can acquire desired contents wherever at any time by storing broadcast programs and various information items to a contents storage center connected to a communication path without storing them to a receiver side.

SOLUTION: The data storing/utilizing device comprises: a communication path; a contents storage means installed at a place capable of being communicated with the communication path and provided with a storage means for storing contents received by a reception means to receive contents; and many and unspecified receivers for instructing the contents storage means to receive desired contents via the communication path.
