<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method for a biomagnetic field, by which the vertical component B<SB>z</SB>of the biomagnetic field is measured to analyze a magnetic field source without increasing the number of detecting coils. <P>SOLUTION: The measuring method includes, when the biomagnetic field is measured, a process to detect time changes of magnetic field components in first and second directions parallel with the living body plane of the biomagnetic field generated from a living body 2 by a plurality of SQUID (superconducting quantum interference device) flux meters placed at equal intervals in two directions, a calculating process to obtain a waveform representing time changes of values proportional to square roots of the sum of squares of magnetic field components in the first and second directions and to calculate to obtain an integral value by integrating the waveform by a prescribed period, and a process to display an isointegral map combining points with equal integral values. Since a small number of maps are used for displaying a quantitative biomagnetic fields distribution, diseases and abnormalities in individuals can be objectively and quantitatively grasped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
