PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fleet marking method which can express clear images even in the dark, a fleet marking method which forms images by discharging ink by an ink jet system, and a coating material or ink for fleet marking. SOLUTION: The fleet marking method using the coating material or ink for fleet marking containing an inorganic phosphor, more particularly, the inorganic phosphor having an average grain size of≤2.0μm and the fleet marking method of forming the images by using such coating material or ink and discharging the coating material or the ink by the ink jet system are provided.
