PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a niobium alloy powder for manufacturing a solid electrolytic capacitor which enhances aging stability of an oxide film along with improving temperature dependency of sintering behavior, and has a low leakage current and a high capacity. SOLUTION: The niobium alloy powder comprises one or more of each 0.002-20 mass% of molybdenum, chromium and tungsten, or each 0.002-5 mass% of phosphorus and boron, further 0.005-0.10 mass% hydrogen and the balance substantially niobium, and has a specific surface area of 1-20 m<SP>2</SP>/g, a cumulative pore volume of 0.2 ml/g or more, a cumulative amount of the volume of pores having diameters of 1μm or less with respect to the whole cumulative pore volume in an amount of 10% or more, and the volume of the pores having the diameters of 10μm or less in an amount of 40% or more.
