PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transfer system for transferring information between two points wherein the information is transferred without being limited to either of visual and audible senses independently of a means utilized for the information transfer. SOLUTION: The information transfer system capable of transferring information between an information terminal 20 and a telephone set 30 connected via a communication channel 70 includes: a Web server 40 that provides an information menu to the information terminal 20 in order to acquire information entered to the information processing terminal 20 via the communication channel 70, applies character recognition to the information acquired from the information processing terminal 20 using the information menu, and transmits the result as character information; and a voice server 50 that receives the character information sent from the Web server 40, converts the character information into voice information, transmits the voice information to the telephone set 30 via the communication channel 70, converts voice information sent from the telephone set 30 into character information, and transmits the character information to the information processing terminal 20 by means of electronic mail.
