PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the feeding of a yarn in a circular knitting machine, by which the abnormal tension of the yarn can easily be stopped at low cost, when an electric source is abnormal, and to provide the device for controlling the feeding of the yarn. SOLUTION: This method for controlling the feeding of the yarn in the circular knitting machine is characterized by making the rotation state of a servo motor 17 approach to the rotation state of a main motor 40 after the stop of the supply of the electric source, when the electric source is abnormal. Thereby, the tension of a yarn fed into a yarn-feeding section 19 approaches the tension of the yarn in a knitting section 3, and the rapid increase of the tension of the yarn between the yarn-feeding section 19 and the knitting section 3 can be prohibited.
