PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a media player for easily skipping the reproduction of a media file unnecessary to be listened to. SOLUTION: When a reproduction stop button is operated during reproduction, the track thereof is skipped, and TOC information is edited so as to prevent the reproduction of the track thereafter. The edited TOC information is recorded in a nonvolatile memory, and the reproduction of the track thereafter is prevented. When the reproduction stop track is skipped, a signal is outputted to a user to notify the skipping. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
