PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for magnetic flaw detection capable of making an inspection by two-dimensional scanning and shortening scanning time. SOLUTION: A magnetic sensor 31 is disposed between the tips of both edge parts of a yoke 11 with a coil 15 wound around the intermediate side part of an iron core 12 of approximately U-shape. The yoke 11 is longitudinally moved, and the magnetic sensor 31 is reciprocated between the tips of both edges of the yoke 11 to perform two-dimensional scanning. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
