PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the appearance while protecting the injector of an engine having a cylinder head protruded in a vehicle body lateral direction. SOLUTION: The injector is housed in a mounting block 42 integrally formed with an intake manifold 41. A noise-proof cover 45 entirely covers a feed terminal (plug) protruded laterally from the injector and a coupler connected to the plug. The noise-proof cover 45 is closely fitted to a fuel distribution pipe 47 for supplying fuel and the intake manifold 41 while commonly covering the top parts of a plurality of injectors to prevent the leak of sounds. Further, this engine has a cover 50 for covering the mounting block 42 of the intake manifold 41, the noise-proof cover 45 and the fuel distribution pipe 47 to improve the appearance in addition to sound insulation.
