PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire-proofing method for electric/communication cables in a tunnel, by installing support fixtures and fixing portions of anchor bolts for mounting the support fixtures in a protective box of a fire-resisting plate structure, to thereby prevent degradation in the strength of the anchor bolt fixing portions and a danger of separation or fall of the same. SOLUTION: In the fire-proofing method for protecting equipment such as cables laid on an inner wall of the tunnel by using the protective box of the fire-resisting plate structure, the support fixtures 3 which are arranged between a concrete skeleton 2 of the tunnel and the protective box so as to enclose the equipment, are hung from the concrete skeleton 2 by fixing both ends 3a thereof to the concrete skeleton 2 by means of the anchor bolts 4. Then ceramic fire-resisting plates 8, 9, 11 having heat insulators 5, 6, 7 made of rock wool laminated on respective inner surfaces, are attached to outer surfaces of a pair of the support fixtures 3, 3 hung from the skeleton at an interval, so as to thermally insulate the fixing portions of the anchor bolts 4 from the interior of the tunnel, whereby the fire-resisting plates are rigidly supported by the support fixtures 3, 3.
