PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a continuous bundle of an oxidized fiber having high tensile strength at interlaced parts, excellent in workability such as cut processing, fiber-opening treatment and the like and suitable for stabilizing a post processing. SOLUTION: A continuous bundle of the polyacrylonitrile-based oxidized fiber is produced by interlacing each end of the polyacrylonitrile-based oxidized fiber bundles having 150,000-450,000 filaments per one bundle and connecting≥2 bundles in the longitudinal direction. The length of the interlaced part is 0.15-0.50 m, the tensile strength of the interlaced part is 0.4-2.5 g/dtex, the degree of interlacing of the interlaced parts is in the range of 20-500 g and the basis weight (A/B) of the interlaced parts satisfies 200-900900 g/m<SP>2</SP>.
