PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial leather keeping excellent feeling, quality and strength after dyeing treatment even by using an aqueous emulsion of polyurethane resin having advantages to such as the application of small load on the environment. SOLUTION: The leather-like sheet composed of a fiber substrate composed mainly of ultrafine fibers and a polyurethane resin is produced by a method comprising (1) a step to produce the fiber substrate by using a conjugate fiber to develop ultrafine fibers and (2) a step to apply an oxazoline compound to the fiber substrate or sheet after the development of the ultrafine fibers.
