<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium, in which laser beams in a blue wavelength region are usable at the data recording operation and also the environmental load is small, while a recording layer is constituted of laminates with a plurality of reactive layers consisting of inorganic materials. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording medium is furnished with the recording layer 14 arranged on a substrate 11 and constituted so that a recording mark M is formable on a desired area of the recording layer 14 by irradiating the recording layer with the laser beams of wavelength 350 nm-450 nm, and the recording layers 14 include the reactive layer 31 having the main component of one element selected from a group consisting of C, Si, Ge and Sn and the reactive layer 32 having the main component of another element selected from the above group while being adjacent to the reactive layer 31. Thus, the information recording operation is attained by using the laser beams of the blue wavelength region which is suitable for realizing the high density recording and high data transfer rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
