<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and an image processing method that accurately detect a parking area. <P>SOLUTION: A parking support device 1 comprises a movement enabling area extraction part 13, a moving body detection part 14 and an area identification part 16. The movement enabling area extraction part 13 extracts from images an area to which a moving body can be moved. The moving body detection part 14 detects a moving state of a peripheral moving body on the area extracted by the movement enabling area extraction part 13.
