<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a hidden vehicle from the overlap of vehicle areas at the time of projecting an image obtained by photographing a vehicle on a road from the rear part on the road, and to highly precisely detect and track the hidden vehicle in a passage vehicle measuring instrument, a passage vehicle measuring program and a passage vehicle measuring method for measuring a vehicle passing through the road. <P>SOLUTION: This instrument is provided with a means for detecting a vehicle from an image photographed by a camera, a means for calculating the projected area of the detected vehicle on a road and its center of gravity position, a means for repeatedly finding out the vehicle where a difference between the calculated center of gravity position of the vehicle and the previously calculated center of gravity position of the vehicle is within a predetermined value, and for estimating a hidden vehicle which has not been found out this time, and a means for deciding the hidden vehicle when the difference of areas is a fixed value or more, and a difference between the predicted position and the projected center of gravity position is a fixed value or less from the previous projected area of the estimated hidden vehicle on the road and this predicted position and the detected projected areas of all the vehicles on the road and the projected center of gravity position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
