PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color liquid crystal display device which has color characteristics matching the NTSC standard and has excellent color reproducibility.

SOLUTION: The LED backlight for color liquid crystal display device has red color (R) LED, green color (G) LED, and blue color (B) LED. The red color (R) LED has a peak wavelength of 610nm or more, the green color (G) LED has a peak wavelength in the range of 530±10nm, and the blue color (B) LED has a peak wavelength of 480nm or less.
