<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert a crosslinked polyolefin foam lacking in hot-melt capability into a thermoplastic polyolefin to reclaim it as a molding material for foaming at a low cost to thereby realize the recycling of a foamed olefin used as a packaging material, a heat insulating material for e.g. an automobile or a building, an electrical wire covering and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The polyolefin molding material for foaming is manufactured by mixing a foamed polyolefin crushed or reduced in volume with an uncrosslinked polyolefin neat polymer and kneading the mixture at a temperature at least equal to the melting temperature of the polyolefin neat polymer added while applying a shear force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
