PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need of printing a copy inhibit mark, as in a conventional case when outputting information which is not desired, and to prevent important papers from being copied in a plurality of devices. SOLUTION: The output device is provided with a reading means 3 for reading out an original image; a storage means 1 for storing image information; an operating means 2 for determining whether to store the output of an image read out by the means 3 and image information read out by the means 3 in the means 1; a comparing means 5 for comparing the image information of the means 1 with the image of the means 3; a means for inhibiting the image output, if a result compared by the comparing means 5 is the same.
