PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for printing a copy inhibit mark as in a conventional case, when outputting information which is not not desired, and to prevent important papers from being copied in a plurality of devices. SOLUTION: The output device is provided with a means for reading out original images; a storage means for storing image information; an operating means for determining whether storing the output of an image read out by the reading means and image information read out by the reading means in a storage means; a comparing means for comparing the image information of the storage means with the image of the reading means; means for inhibiting the image output, if a result compared by the comparing means has no change. Also, when the information is stored in the storage means, the information obtained by applying recording processing to the read image information is stored; and when the image information is compared with the image read by the reading means, the same recording processing is applied to the read image information.
