PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging system for a rechargeable battery capable of being charged quickly. SOLUTION: The charging system for the rechargeable battery arranged to be charged quickly in a public place is composed of a charger to charge the battery, a measuring and displaying device to measure the charged condition of the battery and its deteriorated condition and display the result, and a charge collecting device to collect the charge for charging the battery, whereby it is possible to display the deteriorated condition of the battery.
