PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomous communication path decision technique for use in a communication system having information terminals each forming a local network. SOLUTION: The technique includes a process for autonomously deciding an information terminal in the local network most suitable for connecting to a global network as master information terminal; a process for instructing the information terminals in the local network to connect to the global network via the master information terminal; a process for deciding which of the master information terminals each included in each local network is more suitable for connecting to the global network when portions of local networks are mutually overlapped; and a process for executing the connection of an information terminal belonging to both local networks to the global network via the master terminal more suitable for the global network connection based on the decision.
