PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional pushbutton switch with simple constitution. SOLUTION: The multifunctional pushbutton switch for a steering wheel of a vehicle has a plurality of pushbutton change-over units having pushbutton surfaces approaching each other inside the common operation surface. The switch has a common switch housing, and an operation tappet of the pushbutton change-over unit is moved and guided inside the switch housing. A cap is mounted on the switch housing. The cap is formed by two-component injection molding technique of relatively stiff plastic frame, has a cutout window, and the shape and dimension of the window correspond to the peripheral part of a silicone membrane stretched around the periphery part of the pushbutton surface and the top of the window.
