PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk dubbing system whose durability, reliability and positional accuracy are improved and whose manufacturing cost is reduced by eliminating a belt and a screw shaft as power transmitting means and enhancing the rigidity of an optical disk transport mechanism with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This optical disk transport mechanism is constituted by providing a rack gear 3 in a cover frame 1 which is arranged on the upper surface of the mechanism main body and by further providing a guide shaft and a guide rack 4 for hanging a disk clamping unit 5. The disk clamping unit 5 has a self-running mechanism which is provided with a wheel gear to be engaged with the rack gear 3 and a driving source 10 for rotationally driving this wheel gear, and is reciprocated horizontally by the self-running mechanism.
