PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protein detecting method and device capable of being used conveniently at the site of clinical medicine and detecting the protein as object in a short time and with a high sensitivity. SOLUTION: A specified amount of labeled anti-body making reaction peculiarly with the protein as object to be detected and carrying a labeling substance is prepared, and a specimen liquid having possibility of containing the mentioned protein is mixed with the labeled anti-body, and the obtained mixture liquid is fed to a minute passage and is put in flowing contact with the first sensing anti-body fixed to the inside of the minute passage, and also the mixture liquid is put in flowing contact with the second sensing anti-body fixed to the inside of the minute passage. Then the mixture liquid is exhausted from the minute passage, and a detection beam of light is cast on a complex body having such a complex structure that the labeled anti-body is coupled with the first sensing anti-body through the protein and a complex body having such a complex structure that the labeled anti-body is directly coupled with the second sensing anti-body, and thereby the labeling substance contained in the complex body is detected.
