PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional ladder for a ceiling storage enabling one person to conduct installation work. SOLUTION: A cover plate (5) with the ladder (3) is connected at one end of a storage frame (6) by an open-close hinge (50), and a handrail lever (10) and a lifting spring (2) are installed to the cover plate through a link mechanism. A suspension metal fitting (4) fixed to the frame (6) has a pivotal supporting section (41), and a shaft (40), to which a spring-strength adjusting device (8) with a spring connecting ring (82) is supported pivotally, is arranged to lower and front sides of the supporting section (41). In a metal-fitting connecting piece (12) with a shaft (15) pivotally supported by the supporting section (41) for the metal fitting (4) approximately at a center in a spring connecting piece (11) in the lever (10), a link piece (13) mounted near a lower end is attached pivotally to a link lever (14), a link metal fitting (52) is secured to the cover plate (5) and pivotally attached at an adjustable angle. A spring engaging hole (17) and the ring (82) are engaged with the spring (2), the hole (17), the shaft (15) of the connecting piece (12) and the shaft (40) of the suspension metal fitting are positioned on an approximately straight line (D) and a component force in the open-close direction is removed.
