PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aromatic fluorine compound, in detail, comprising the halogen exchange reaction of an aromatic halogen compound with a fluorinating agent, by which the aromatic fluorine compound can be produced in a high yield. SOLUTION: This method for producing the aromatic fluorine compound represented by general formula (2) [A is N or C; X is Cl or Br; Y is cyano and/or nitro; F is fluorine atom; (m'), (n') and (p') are integers satisfying the following formula: 1≤(m')+(n')+(p')≤6, 1≤(m')≤6, 0≤(n')≤2, 0≤(p')≤5] in a high yield comprises subjecting an aromatic halogen compound represented by the general formula (1) [(m), (n) and (p) are integers satisfying the following formula: 1≤(m)+(n)+(p)≤6, 0≤(m)≤5, 0≤(n)≤2, 1≤(p)≤6] to a halogen exchange reaction in an aromatic nitrile solvent.
