PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pushcart that has a relatively simplified mechanism, locks firmly its upper handle member to an extension adjusting position, and has excellent stable operation performance. SOLUTION: A lower part of a cylindrical connector 5 is fitted into and fixed to an upper end of a lower handle member 3. A plurality of lock receiving holes 6 are formed on the side surface of the upper handle member 4 at predetermined intervals. A middle part of an operation lever 8 is pivotally attached to the side bracket 7 of the cylindrical connector 5 by a cross pivot 9 while a lock pin 11 is pivotally attached to a tip end of the operation lever 8 by a cross pivot 10. The lock pin 11 disengages from a side through hole 12 of the cylindrical connector 5 to engage in the lock receiving hole 6 of the upper handle member 4. A spring member 13 rotatingly biases the operation lever 8 in a direction to maintain the engagement of the lock pin 11 and the rock receiving hole 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
