PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide binoculars equipped with an eye-width adjusting mechanism by using a prism for bending which can easily be manufactured. SOLUTION: The prism 13R for bending is constituted by combining two right-angled prisms 13RM and 13RN so that their flanks 13MB and 13NB face each other and their oblique surfaces 13MC and 13NC are parallel to each other. The right-angled prisms 13RM and 13RN are easier to manufacture than a parallelogram prism as a single body, so the prism 13R becomes easy to manufacture differently from a case wherein the parallelogram prism in the single body is used. The binoculars equipped with the eye-width adjusting mechanism can easily be manufactured. Further, the right-angled prisms 13RM and 13LM which are easy to manufacture are more inexpensive than the parallelogram prism in the single body which is hard to manufacture, so the binoculars are expected to be low-cost.
