<p>A method of knitting a tubular knitted fabric (11) which has first knitted fabric and a second knitted fabric made continuous at their opposite ends and is partially formed, in the first knitted fabric, with a laminated portion (4) having at least two layers of knitted fabrics, the method comprising the step of forming the knitted fabric with all needles in a loop arrangement, the knitting width expanding step (s3) of moving the loop of a wale to be formed with the laminated portion (4) and the loop of a wale positioned closer to a knitted fabric side end side than the wale formed with the laminated portion (4) to provide a draw-off loop arrangement where an unused needle for transferring is disposed between needles used for forming the loop of a wale formed with the laminated portion (4), and the step (s4) of knitting the first and second knitted fabrics while forming the loop of a wale formed with the laminated portion (4) as a small loop so that that loop is as large as loops in regions other than a wale formed with the laminate portion on completion of the knitting, thereby eliminating the difference in knitted fabric feeling between respective portions of a knitted fabrics containing the laminated portion (4) where the knitted fabric is partially overlaid in layers.</p> |
