The rear view mirror for a motor vehicle has an integral indicator (101) fitting into a recess on the reverse side of the mirror housing (100). The indicator lens has multiple projecting areas on its inner face to form a honeycomb shaped surface to collect the light and then diffuse it. There is a transparent area above the honeycomb and a light cover above this.
