The holding element (24a) clipped or engaged with the rail foot (18) is shorter than the molding (44) and inelastic being in the form of a clip or clamp to give a web piece which grasps the rail foot from below and terminates each end in a holding section (28a,30a). The top and bottom parts of the holding element each take a rail foot edge sector. Holding elements can be allotted to molding parts (44 and 46) respectively and arranged at spacing on the rail foot.
