<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which allows acquisition of images of high quality free from unevenness of printing quality like gloss by accurately controlling the temperature of a fixing member 20 even at the time of using a fixing belt having an elastic layer as the fixing member and to provide an image forming device having the fixing device mounted therein. <P>SOLUTION: Power required for heating, which is supplied to a heating body 16 is corrected by prescribed power before a temperature detection means 18 detects a temperature variance accompanied with inrush of a recording material P, and the power required for heating, which is supplied to the heating body 16 is corrected by the prescribed power at a prescribed timing when the fixing device is started at the time of print start, and a value of the prescribed power is approximately equal to a power value required for giving a prescribed temperature to the fixing device. The value of the prescribed power is determined in accordance with a heat capacity of the recording material, a heat storage condition of the fixing device, etc. as needed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
